“Winning takes talent, to repeat takes character.”
~John Wooden
Anyone can win something if they work hard enough, but not everyone holds the discipline required to win something over and over again. Every quarter, our client awards a “Campaign Cup” to the top performing company working on their retail marketing and sales campaign. STC Direct Philly has earned this award not once, not twice, but over 15 times…in a row!
How has our team accomplished this success? To put it simply, we work hard! In a culture created by values such as teamwork, camaraderie, and competition, the team at STC Direct Philly plays to win. When the expectation is set to be our client’s #1 marketing and sales company, anything less is not an option. We are adamant about fostering a work environment that promotes success, prosperity, and excellence. After all, why be good when you can be GREAT?
When STC Direct Philly was founded back in 2012, we vowed to put the growth of our team members first. While exceeding our client’s expectations is high on our list, the results we bring to our client is a direct reflection of our team’s efforts. STC Direct Philly understands that success is all about mindset; Harvey Mackay says it best: “People begin to become successful the minute they decide to be.” Our company decided that we were going to out-perform everyone else, so we made it happen.
Now, do not be mistaken; STC Direct Philly is not driven by the desire to beat others. While winning is not the worst feeling (ha, ha), we are driven most by setting an excellent example for our team members. We seek to unlock the potential of others and develop them into the greatest version of themselves. Winning is much better when you have people to celebrate it with!
To those who follow our growth and have witnessed our expansion, we wanted to share some insight into what has helped us accomplish this honor and tangible improvements that someone can implement into their own company.
- Promote a bigger picture: As mentioned before, winning is important, but it’s not everything. We promote our team’s professional growth as the outcome of work well done for our client. More growth in one’s career translates to more success, and more success equates to greater freedom of choices.
- Prioritize camaraderie: Whether we’re shooting pool after work or traveling to another state for a leadership & networking conference, we win because our team not only knows each other but truly cares about each other. Relationships at STC Direct Philly are built both inside and outside of the office.
- Set realistic and achievable goals: Our awards at STC Direct Philly have been the result of strategy and progress over perfection. We break down our annual goals into quarters, quarter goals into months, and monthly goals into weeks. Focusing on our results on a micro scale helps us hit goals on a macro level!
Whether you’re looking to be a pacesetter for your company or help your entire organization win, remember, it starts with you. You determine the course of your day, and most importantly, you determine if you win or lose. So ask yourself – do you want to win today?
